    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: September 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CourtSound ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit courtsound.com or buy from us.

Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, order details, and anything you send through our contact form.

Payment information: payments are processed by Shopify. Your card details go directly to Shopify and never touch our servers. We receive limited details, such as the last four digits of your card and your billing address.

Information collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, pages you view, how you arrived at our site, and similar data, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies, pixels, and advertising

We use cookies and tracking pixels from advertising and analytics partners to understand how our site is used and to show you relevant ads. These may include:

- Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram)

- TikTok Pixel

- Google Analytics and Google Ads

These partners may collect information about your activity on our site and other sites to measure ads and show you personalized ads. You can control this:

- Adjust cookie settings in your browser, or use private browsing.

- Meta: facebook.com/adpreferences

- Google: adssettings.google.com and the Google Analytics opt-out

- TikTok: ad settings in your TikTok app

- Industry opt-outs: optout.aboutads.info and networkadvertising.org/choices

When you place an order, we also send the purchase directly from our server to Meta and TikTok so they can measure our ads, even if your browser blocks their pixels. Your email, phone number, name, and address are hashed (scrambled) before they are sent, and the order number is used so a purchase is only counted once.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where required by law.

How we use information

- To process and ship orders, handle returns, and send order updates.

- To answer your questions and provide support.

- To prevent fraud and keep our store secure.

- To improve our website and measure our advertising.

- To comply with legal obligations.

Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails, such as new drops, restocks, and offers, to people who asked for them: by signing up on our site and confirming by email, or by ticking "keep me updated" at checkout.

If you tick that box at checkout and then leave without paying, we may send you one reminder about the items you left in your bag.

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link that works with one click. Unsubscribing stops all marketing emails straight away; order and shipping emails still arrive.

We may use email addresses from our sign-up form, in hashed (scrambled) form, to show relevant ads on Meta and TikTok. We never do this with addresses given at checkout.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with service providers who help run our store, such as Shopify (our store platform and payment processor), shipping carriers, our email providers (Shopify for order email, Zoho Mail for our inbox), and the advertising and analytics partners listed above, and when required by law.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other US states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of your information. To make a request, email contact@courtsound.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights.

Data retention

We keep order records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes, and other information only as long as needed for the purposes above.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption and trusted providers to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Children

Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows when it last changed.

Store activity measurement

We record product views, add-to-bag actions, and checkout attempts to understand how the store is used. These records include product details and a random browser-tab session identifier, not your name or email. The dashboard shows a rolling 90-day history. Older records are removed when new activity is recorded or the dashboard is opened. Activity is not automatically linked to a customer identity. We skip this measurement when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
